RACHEL B. KARP (she/her)
I am a writer and producer working across theater, podcasts, film, TV, and digital media.
I co-created and produce the award-winning queer history and culture podcast Cruising. I wrote and story produced seasons 1 and 2, about the last lesbian bars in the U.S. This project took my team and me on a 30 day, 10,000 mile road trip around the U.S. to visit each of these spaces and interview the humans that run them and the humans that call them a home.
I am currently writing my debut narrative nonfiction book, forthcoming from Beacon Press in summer 2026, and producing two shows for LinkedIn Editorial, Hello Monday and Building One.
My original hour-long drama pilot has been developed through Darcy Fowler’s workshops, with readings on Zoom and at Ensemble Studio Theatre. I am also developing additional scripted work centering queer voices, including another television pilot and an audio drama.
Previous producing/associate producing credits include Sometimes When We Touch (a Paramount+ docu-series), Customer Wars (an A+E clip show), and various brand campaigns including Patron, Invisibobble, Riondo, and Apothic. Production Coordinator credits include New York Homicide (an Oxygen true crime series), Rifkin on Rifkin (an Oxygen documentary), and Eye Candy (a Roku Channel competition show).
I have a B.S. in Theater (directing/playwriting track) and English from Skidmore College, and have trained at the Moscow Art Theater School.
